Ten squares arrived from Florida! They came with a note reading:”Dear Reiley, Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part if your “pay it forward” project. I hope you always keep a desire to help others. I pray that God Blesses you and your family. I pray that God provides a blessed path for you as you grow from a beautiful young lady into a woman. I didn’t find out about your project until February 7th or 8th. I scrambled to add onto and block some 4 inch squares and gauge swatches that I had. While I worked to finish my squares, I prayed that God would bless and comfort any child that held all the blankets made by the love and hard work of your family and many Ravelers.

Seven very pretty crochet squares came in today from California! Each one is so special! One has a heart on it, another a flower, the pink one has a heart design. The colors are so pretty together! Thank you so much! These squares will be so special on a blanket!

They came with a card with a beautiful peacock on the front that reads:”Hi Reiley, I am sorry if these are too big but they should still work. I wanted variety. I included some of our local candy so you can try it (hope you like them) They didn’t have a postcard of my town but I thought these were pretty. Eight pretty crochet squares came in today. Another very pretty square was in the package. This square was the first square Alina, a 6 year old ever made! Thank you for working so hard for my project! I will be sure it has a special place on a blanket!

My grandma's cousin Mr. Romero sent a box of 68 squares! His wife knit fourty squares and a few of their friends knit the rest. He is my grandma's first cousin. They haven't seen each other in over 40 years! I am very thankful for all these beautiful squares. We took them to my grandma's tonight and she is putting a very pretty, large blanket together right away. Thank you so much!

My grandma was excited to get the squares from her cousin. She went to work on the blanket right away and finished it quickly. She bought a sewing machine just to help me with all these squares! Everyone that is helping me put together blankets for my project are hand stitching squares to make blankets, my grandma is flying through squares by sewing them with quilting thread. Her new machine is made for quilting so it is strong enough to stitch through thick squares. I can't believe she went out and bought a machine to help me! She is having fun helping me and I am thankful for her help!

When I got home from school a large box was waiting for me at my door. I opened it and a ton of squares were inside! Mrs. Smith from Hillsboro, AL sent me 148 SQUARES! We put the two blankets together this weekend and had squares left over for another blanket! The blankets just need to have their ends weaved in however they look really pretty. Oh how cute! This is really incredible. I received a large box stuffed with squares. All the squares will make an entire Hello Kitty Blanket! A very lucky girl will be given this blanket. My mom started putting it together last night. It came with a diagram on how to assemble it. This is so neat and more than I ever could ask for. Thank you so much! If that wasn’t enough four very pretty, colorful crochet squares were also in the box. Pink and purple pretty squares. Everything came with a postcard from Old iron bridge Bastrop, Texas. ALL THE WAY FROM JAPAN!!!!

5 knit bright knit squares- 1 yellow and red, 1 black, 1 blue, 1 red, and 1 yellow arrived with candy from Japan! One box of black sugar caramel, one box of green tea caramel, and one package of grape Hi- chew (like super-chewy starburst). Brooke put notes on all the candy to say what the candy is. The package also came with a very cool Japanese stationary paper with a note - the note inside reads “Reiley, Enclosed are the promised squares for your Pay it Forward project. Sorry I did boring old garter stich, but i’m in the middle of finals here at Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan. Have fun making the blankets! I enclosed some snacks - hope you like them! Brooke

Today in the mail I received 2 rainbow colored squares that had two notes attached to them. One of them read: Dear Reiley, My name is Kristen. I heard you were doing a project. This is my knitting hope you get better, God Bless you. Love Kayla and Kristen, age 8. Another note attached read: Dear Reiley, My name is Kayla, and I am 11 years old. My mom's friend Ellen told us about your project. My sister Kristen and I knitted squares to help you. Good luck with the project and God Bless you. With Love, Kayla and Kristen. Knitted squares came from: Fruitland, NM. Thanks so much! These squares are special because they were knit by two eight year olds! Thank you for being so thoughtful and caring! Reiley:)

In the mail today, I received 3 pretty pink squares that came with a note that reads:

“Hi Reiley, These squares are from Arlington, Massachusetts. When the kids who need these blankets receive them, they will know that there is much love in the world for them! Thanks for pulling this all together, Reiley!”

Six individuals from Welland Ontario, Canada sent a box of beautiful knit and crochet squares!

In the box were really thoughtful gifts for me :)

I received 3D scrapbook Canadian Stickers, and two ribbons that read star student and excellence, and a Postcard CD for a Canadian tour (I willa be sure and look at it tomorrow!) and lastly, a pez mirror and lipgloss :)

On the back of the Postcard CD reads:

“Dear Reiley, Here are some squares to add to your blanket. We are very happy to be part of this wonderful project. You are # 1 in our hearts! All the Best. Karen”

10 squares that are very creative and colorful. Each crochet square has a different, fun pattern and they are all different colors.

They arrived with a postcard that is a picture of a beautiful view of a lake in front of lots of buildings.

They also came with a very cute crochet turtle that is pink and blue and a beautiful pink hat for me! My baby sister quickly took claim to the turtle and hat (see photo). Glad the hat fits me perfectly, I love it!

The box was like opening a birthday present! Inside a jar with hand-tooled leather dancers on the top

All the way from New Zealand I received 4 beautiful knit squares with matching furry, eyelash yarn. Very nice! Enclosed was a postcard of Christchurch New Zealand.

Today I received a beautiful set of four colorful knit squares and a a beautiful postcard from Toano, VA

Today I received three squares knit by two sisters. A nice letter was enclosed from Florence, Alabama!

Today I received three really nice squares from Hamilton, OH. Two postcards were enclosed of Ohio’s beautiful sculptures. The note informed me Ohios is often called “The City of Sculpture.”

I have gained 4 packages, and 1 box today!

• I received a pink and purple color wheel crochet block along with a knit pink square. I also received      five brown knit squares and three green knit squares. It came with a pretty and nice postcard. The      package came from Kalamazoo, MI. 

• A postcard, a yellow crochet square, two pink squares, two multi blue, and brown. Six beautiful knit squares and a postcard of Nebraska's State Capitol came in from Lincoln, NE.                              

• Six crochet squares, one that is black and orange, one orange, one with a flower on it that is brown    and black, one that is two shades of blue, and one that is brown. It came from La Plata, NM.

• Two crochet squares that are black and yellow. (The envelope that the squares came in were made    out of a whole foods bag!-Smart!) This came from Clarksville, TN.

• There are 16 squares, and there are some that are orange (one flower, one heart), and pink that it has a reversible flower with dark and a lighter pink. It also came with some squares that are a lime green. This came from Mobile, AL.

Three blankets are being assembled so far.

• A half a dozen multi colored squares came in from Aurora, CO. 

• Beautiful blue and turqoise squares came in from Algona, IA as well!
